Energy Efficiency Tax Credit Program Has Ended

As part of the One Big Beautiful (Bill) Act (OBBA), also know as Public Law 119-21, the federal tax credit for energy-efficient home improvements, including windows and doors, was eliminated for products installed after December 31, 2025.

It’s important to note that tax laws and regulations can be complex, and the determination of any possible retroactive application is subject to the specific provisions outlined in the tax code. A tax professional would be best to answer any questions.

ENERGY STAR Qualified (certified): This is the core ENERGY STAR designation for products that meet or exceed EPA’s energy efficiency criteria for specific climate zones. All of our windows with high-performance glass packages are ENERGY STAR Qualified for the climate zones within our service area. These products offer homeowners enhanced comfort, reliable performance, and meaningful energy savings, all backed by third-party certification.

ENERGY STAR Most Efficient: This is an additional EPA recognition given each year to a subset of ENERGY STAR Qualified products that meet even more stringent performance thresholds. Only products with the Most Efficient designation were eligible for the federal tax credit.
